Meet the Board

Rick Moore JP, LLB, FRICS

Chair

Now living in the County Rick was born and raised in the inner City. A Chartered Surveyor and law graduate he now runs his own Property Advice Consultancy and is a former President of the Leicestershire Chamber of Commerce.

Passionate about housing Rick has also held a number of non-Executive positions in various fields. He has been Chair of 3 Charities- the Princes Trust, Leicestershire and Rutland Community Foundation and Hope against Cancer, where he is now President. He was a Magistrate for 35 years, becoming Chairman of the Leicester City Bench and was Chairman of the Leicestershire Magistrates Courts Committee. He was Chairman of the Governors at Fullhurst Community College, where he continues to Chair the Trust, and a Governor of Wyggeston and Queen Elizabeth Six Form College.                                                                                                           

His other non-Executive positions have included Chairmanship of Leicester City Building Schools for the Future- a highly successful £300 million Government funded redevelopment programme of Leicester Secondary and Special Needs Schools.He was Chairman of Healthwatch Leicestershire and Leicestershire Economic Partnership.

In September2012 Rick was listed by the Leicester Mercury as one of the 200 most influential people in Leicestershire. Rick brings a wealth of experience, with expertise in motivating and leading Boards toward achieving positive outcomes.

Rick said, “I’m pleased to be appointed as Chair and recognize the importance of housing and tenants having a voice in the services they receive. I look forward to leading Six Pillars Homes Ltd in its work to become a credible and valued Housing Provider”.

Anthony Riley BA (Hons) FCIH

Anthony is an experienced Housing professional in both an Executive & Non Executive capacity.

Working as Group Executive Director for Waterloo (now known as Platform) Housing

 Group & as the Senior Independent Board Member at Thirteen Homes & Cross Keys Homes.

Both organisations are successful developing  Associations & were given excellent IDA gradings during his term of office.

Currently, he provides Consultancy services to East Midlands Housing & is a Board Member for the Milverton Homes Housing Company.

He is keen to bring his expertise & enthusiasm to assist in the growth of Six Pillars. 

Patricia McCabe

Patricia is an experienced Non-Executive with 16 years’ experience serving on boards in housing and the wider third sector. She is a Group board member of emh group, Chair of Birmingham and Solihull Women’s Aid, and a board member of Homecome Ltd.

Patricia’s career was primarily in Organisational Development, working in Housing, Social Services, the NHS, charities and the private sector. She was previously Managing Director of Central Consultancy & Training, specialising in governance and Board development.

Patricia is professionally qualified in company direction, general management and Human Resource Development.

Ian Gardner MSc, MCIOB, MCIH

Ian has undertaken a range of strategic and operational roles within the housing and construction sector for over 20 years. He has progressed via technical engineering positions and senior management posts to become a strategic leader in social housing.

He has extensive experience in leading large complex housing organisations – including succession planning and developing apprenticeship & graduate programmes – as well as leading in-house repairs and maintenance organisations, delivering strategic asset management and major investment programmes and implementing new building safety and asset compliance arrangements.

Ian also has wider non-executive board member experience in organisations across the Midlands, Warwickshire and Chesire. Ian holds a number of technical and leadership qualifications, has a master’s degree in construction project management and is a Chartered Member of both the Chartered Institute of Building and Chartered Institute of Housing.

Lisa Barker MSc FCIH

Lisa is currently the CEO of Six Pillars Homes Ltd. With over three decades of Board-level experience with charities, community groups and housing organisations she brings expertise in governance and strategic leadership with a commitment to community development.

Lisa is an experienced housing and property development professional with over 40 years working for Local Authorities and Government Departments. She is passionate about delivering high quality homes and person-centred services to customers, ensuring that the voice of tenants is heard, listened to and acted upon.
